Sarvesvaran,51 an MTC driver, worked on the Koyambedu-Kancheepuram route of Chennai MTC. On Feb 12 at around 8.20am the bus left Koyambedu bus terminus with about 50 passengers and at 8.30 am the bus approached Maduravoyal market.

As the vehicle was passing through Maduravoyal, Sarvesvaran started feeling restless and thus stopped the bus by the roadside. He told the conductor and passengers that he was feeling unwell and need some medical help.

He then attempted to reach the nearest hospital but suffered a heart attack and collapsed, seeing this the conductor and a few passengers went along to help Sarvesvaran. On reaching the hospital they alerted the doctors, but it was too late by then.

The doctors declared him dead due to a heart attack. RIP Sarvesvaran, you have saved 50 lives by keeping calm in a situation of extreme pain that lead to death. You are a hero. We salute you and those people who helped, we will remember you in our thoughts and prayers.
