Coimbatore: In a deeply inspiring visit to the Isha Yoga Center, Dharmapuram Adheenam’s 27th Guru Maha Sannidhanam, Sri-la-Sri Masilamani Desika Gnanasambanda Paramacharya Swamigal, showered praise on Isha Foundation for its unwavering commitment to spiritual transformation, environmental stewardship, and social upliftment. His visit, marked by profound reflection and heartfelt appreciation, illuminated Isha’s remarkable contributions to creating a sustainable and harmonious future for humanity.
The Guru Maha Sannidhanam was received with reverence by Isha monks and volunteers, who welcomed him with a traditional poornakumbham in the sacred presence of Dhyanalinga. The students of Sadhguru Gurukulam Samskriti greeted him with the timeless recitations of Thevaram hymns, encapsulating the essence of the spiritual legacy fostered at Isha.
Reflecting on his transformative experience, the Guru Maha Sannidhanam said, “Over these two days, we have been deeply moved by Isha Foundation’s vast, multidimensional efforts to preserve and propagate the wisdom of ancient yogic teachings. The work here truly embodies the profound teachings of Thirumoolar, Thayumanavar, and Patanjali, guiding individuals to a higher state of consciousness. Sadhguru’s relentless dedication to spreading the science of yoga across the globe is a beacon of light, showing us all the path to spiritual awakening and well-being.”
He further highlighted Isha’s approach to spiritual growth, emphasizing the four stages of spiritual practice—Sariya, Kriya, Yoga, and Jnana—as outlined in Shaiva Siddhanta, and how Isha Foundation seamlessly integrates these principles into its diverse, impactful initiatives.
The Guru Maha Sannidhanam also spoke passionately about Isha Foundation’s environmental efforts, particularly its large-scale tree-planting initiative. He drew a powerful parallel to Lord Shiva, who selflessly consumed poison to protect life, just as trees absorb carbon dioxide to ensure the survival of the earth. “The initiative to plant 60,000 saplings in collaboration with the Dharmapuram Adheenam and Rotary Club is not just a service to the environment, but a profound act of healing the planet. This effort embodies the sacred relationship between humans and nature,” he said, highlighting the importance of sustainability in building a better world for future generations.
Equally impressed by Isha’s dedication to preserving India’s native cattle breeds, he commended the work of Isha Gaushala, which is making invaluable strides in conserving indigenous livestock, and lauded the organization’s holistic approach to animal welfare.
The Guru Maha Sannidhanam’s visit also included a tour of Isha’s consecrated spaces—Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi, Surya Kund, Naga Shrine, and the Abode of Linga Bhairavi. He was profoundly moved by the sanctity and spiritual energy radiating from these sacred spaces, which he described as beacons of light guiding humanity towards higher consciousness and self-realization.
In his closing blessings, he shared, “Isha Foundation’s remarkable work in yoga, education, environmental conservation, and native cattle preservation stands as a shining example of selfless service and spiritual dedication. Sadhguru’s vision is truly transforming lives, and I wholeheartedly bless this mission to continue expanding and flourishing, spreading peace and wisdom to every corner of the world.”
The Guru Maha Sannidhanam also inaugurated the Adiyogi Rath Yatra, a profound initiative that will travel across Tamil Nadu as part of the Mahashivaratri celebrations, bringing the message of inner transformation to the masses.
Through its transformative work, Isha Foundation continues to inspire and empower individuals worldwide, guiding them on a path of spiritual growth, environmental consciousness, and social service. Isha’s unwavering commitment to building a brighter, more harmonious future for all stands as a testament to the power of collective action in creating lasting change.
