BJP Picks-Up Vegetable Vendor’s Son To Fight By-Election In UP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Ghosi Assembly seat by-poll in Uttar Pradesh stands out in a crowd. The party announced- Vijay Rajbhar, a son of a vegetable vendor as the candidate for the upcoming by-election.

Vijay on receiving the ticket said, “The organisation has given a huge responsibility. My father sells vegetables on the footpath near Munshi Pura. I will try my best to fulfil the expectations.”

 

Vijay’s father Nand Lal Rajbhar, who continues to sell vegetables, said that his son’s “hard work” has finally paid off.  “I sell vegetables. My son’s hard work has paid off. The party has given him a ticket after considering him capable. It feels good,” he said.

The party on Sunday issued a list of 32 candidates for by-elections across 13 states scheduled for October 21. The result of the by-elections will be declared on October 24.
