BJP was leading with its ad aired across all channels on television 22,099 times and second was Netflix with 12951 ads aired. It was second in the preceding week and displaced Vimal Pan Masala to be at the top position.

It is to be noted that polling has just ended in Chhatisgarh and there are assembly elections to be held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram. The elections are crucial as they are just ahead of  2019 Lok Sabha elections.

TV reaches the maximum number of people and naturally, whether it be brands of goods, services or political parties, they reach out to people through television, said Partho Dasgupta, CEO, BARC India reported Economic Times.

None of the other national parties including Congress were in the list of top 10 advertisers.
