In a shocking confession, Hafiz Abdul Rauf, a top-ranking commander of the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), publicly admitted on Thursday that India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ successfully razed their headquarters in Muridke.
Addressing a gathering at the Markaz-e-Taiba complex, Rauf described the May 2025 Indian strikes as a “very big attack” that reduced their nerve centre to rubble. Operation Sindoor was launched following the brutal April 2025 Pahalgam attack, where 26 civilians were killed.
This confession, captured on video, not only confirms the precision of Indian military action but also exposes Pakistan’s active “freedom for jihad” policy and China’s role in providing intelligence and weaponry to terror networks.

The Pahalgam Massacre
The genesis of Operation Sindoor lies in the tragic events of April 2025, when LeT terrorists, operating under the front ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), targeted innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam. The attack, which left 26 dead, was a barbaric attempt to disrupt peace in the region.
In a swift and decisive response, the Indian government approved a high-intensity counter-offensive on the night of May 6-7, 2025.
This operation was designed to dismantle the operational headquarters of the LeT without causing collateral damage to civilian populations, marking a shift in India’s strategic posture toward cross-border terror facilities located deep within Pakistani territory.
Confessions Of Ruin
Hafiz Abdul Rauf, a US-designated global terrorist, provided a chillingly direct account of the damage sustained during the strikes. “What happened on May 6-7, that place is no longer a mosque. Today, we cannot even sit there.
It is finished; it has collapsed,” Rauf stated, effectively ending months of denial from the Pakistani establishment. His admission is particularly significant as he previously led funeral prayers for militants killed in the same strikes.
The commander’s words validate India’s military claims that the Markaz-e-Taiba complex was neutralised, disrupting the group’s ability to train and launch fresh infiltrations into Indian territory for a significant period.

Nexus Of State Support
Perhaps the most explosive part of Rauf’s confession was his boast about state-sponsored immunity. He claimed that Pakistan has provided “open freedom for jihad” and that recruitment is easier there than anywhere else because “the state has decided.”
Furthermore, he credited China for supporting Pakistan with real-time intelligence and sophisticated weaponry during the period of heightened tensions.
This confirms New Delhi’s long-standing allegations that terror groups operate with institutional backing. The use of Chinese-made equipment in the Pahalgam attack further points to a sophisticated supply chain that enables these groups to carry out high-tech strikes against Indian interests.

Brazen Display Of Continuity
Despite the physical destruction of their primary base, the terror infrastructure appears to be undergoing a defiant rebuilding process. Rauf’s speech took place during a passing-out ceremony for newly trained terrorists, attended by other top figures like Hafiz Talha Saeed, the son of 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed.
This public display of continuity suggests that even after a major military setback, the ideological and state support for these groups remains intact.
The ceremony serves as a grim reminder that while military operations can destroy physical buildings, the larger ecosystem of terror in Pakistan continues to enjoy official indulgence and international strategic support.
The Logical Indian’s Perspective
At The Logical Indian, we believe that the confession of a terror commander is a stark reminder that peace cannot be achieved as long as state-sponsored militancy is treated as a policy tool.
The revelation of a “freedom for jihad” policy is a direct affront to global harmony and the sanctity of human life. We advocate for a world where nations are held strictly accountable for the blood shed by the proxies they protect.
While military deterrence is necessary, true security will only come when the international community unites to dismantle the financial and ideological sanctuaries that fuel such violence.
