Ground Rule For Discussing Sexual Harassment Online.

In India, any form of crime especially violence against women always end in blaming the survivor.  Knowingly or unknowingly we are part of this and the reason being the words we use to describe sexual violence against women.

Breakthrough, a human rights organization working to make violence against women and girls unacceptable, has came up with an informative picture series describing the ground rules that one should follow while writing about or discussing sensitive issues like #SexualHarassment on blogs or social media.

1. Don’t Use The Word ‘Victim’ Use ‘Survivor’.
