The recent Assam HSLC results for 2025 have been declared, with an overall pass percentage of 63.98%. Boys achieved a pass percentage of 67.59%, while girls secured 61.09%.

Amishi Saikia emerged as the state topper with 98.50%. Students can access their results on official websites like sebaonline.org, resultsassam.nic.in, and asseb.in. The results were announced on April 11, 2025, marking a significant milestone for Class 10 students in Assam.

Key Statistics and Insights

The Assam HSLC exams were conducted from February 15 to March 3, 2025, with practical exams held on January 21-22. Out of 4,29,449 registered candidates, 2,70,471 passed, reflecting a drop in pass percentage from last year’s 75.7%.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu urged students to check their results promptly, emphasizing the importance of these outcomes for their academic futures.

The gender disparity in pass percentages highlights ongoing challenges in ensuring equal educational opportunities for boys and girls. This disparity underscores the need for targeted interventions to support girls’ education, such as mentorship programs and scholarships.

Background and Context

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), formerly known as SEBA, has streamlined education processes following its merger with AHSEC, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. The board’s efforts aim to enhance educational standards and transparency.

This year’s results saw a notable decrease in pass percentage, which may be attributed to various factors, including changes in examination patterns or increased competition. Students unable to access results online can use DigiLocker for digital marksheets. To view results, students can follow these steps:

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

The Logical Indian emphasizes the importance of addressing gender disparities in education. While technological advancements have made accessing exam results easier, it is crucial to focus on creating an equitable educational environment.

We must encourage dialogue and action to dismantle barriers hindering girls’ academic progress. This includes promoting inclusive policies, providing equal access to resources, and fostering a supportive community that encourages girls to pursue their academic goals without societal constraints.

As we reflect on these results, we ask: How can society ensure equal opportunities for every student? What steps can we take to foster a more inclusive educational landscape that supports the success of all students, regardless of gender?
