The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has released the official datesheets for the 2026 HSLC Class 10 and HS Class 12 board exams.

The Class 10 exams will begin on February 10, 2026, and conclude on February 27, while the Class 12 exams will commence on February 11 and continue till March 16.

Exam Dates and Schedule Announced

The Assam HSLC (Class 10) exams will officially start with the MIL/English paper on February 10, 2026. Exams will run till February 27, with most theory papers lasting three hours conducted in two shifts: morning (9 am to 12 pm) and afternoon (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm).

The Assam HS (Class 12) board exams will begin on February 11 with the English paper, and final papers including Entrepreneurship Development and Advance Sanskrit will be held on March 16. Practical exam dates will be announced separately.

In 2025, over 4 lakh students appeared for the HSLC Class 10 exams with a pass percentage of 63.98. The Class 12 exams saw 3,02,420 students registered across Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams. Arts had the highest enrolment followed by Science, Commerce, and Vocational education.

Pass percentages in 2025 were 81.03% for Arts, 84.88% for Science, 82.18% for Commerce, and 68.55% for Vocational studies. Educators stress balanced preparation, with both academic rigor and wellness.
