Pertaining to the despicable, sudden invasion by six terrorists a week before at the Air Force Station in Pathankot, that not only compromised the lives of seven security personnel but did put a question mark on our relations with our neighboring nation, the army has issued guidelines for public to  combat any further terrorist attacks:

  • The Army asked civilians to avoid wearing “army-pattern” dresses and shopkeepers to refrain from selling combat clothes, army uniforms and equipment as “it is illegal” to do so.
  • All traders and shopkeepers interested in selling Army uniforms may approach the local military authority and request for shops in units/cantonments approved areas/shops.
  • The shopkeepers with official military permissions are allowed to open shops only in the cantonments approved areas and would be illegal of them to sell army uniforms to unauthorized persons.
  • Private Security agencies, police, exservicemen, relatives of army officials also fall under the rules led by the army to prevent any terror attacks since these practices could lead to false alarms creating a havoc during the ambush.

Full support from the countrymen regarding the guidelines is expected whereas the Police and Civil administration are appointed to trackdown the violators. Recently, skeptical and dubious activities have been observed creating doubts and inconvenience, from the personnel in combat dresses, which also mislead demanding unnecessary attention.

The countrymen have been urged to promote the guidelines and cooperate in all manners possible at the very grassroot level, by sending even the minute of the details to the army, of any suspicious activity found.

The Logical Indian appeals to our community members to support Army in this and follow the guidelines issued by Military. It is for our own safety and also to spread the information as much as possible.
