Assam: Thousands Protest On Being Evicted From Homes And Forced To Be Homeless

On September 20, the Assam government conducted a mass eviction drive in the Darrang district, leaving more than 800 families homeless. As per reports, the eviction has affected more than twenty thousand Bengali-speaking Muslims who are being called 'illegal immigrants'.
