According to Kumar, the defining moment in his life came during the COVID-19 pandemic when he met with a serious road accident while making deliveries. The injuries left him temporarily unable to continue working, creating uncertainty about both his livelihood and future.
During his recovery, Kumar turned to writing with renewed purpose. After receiving a compensation payout of ₹20,000 following the accident, he began creating stories for the audio platform Pocket FM.
According to media reports, his flagship audio-fiction series, Brahmyodha: The Destroyer, has grown to more than 1,300 episodes and recorded over 16.8 crore plays on the platform. Kumar has said that his first payment as a writer was ₹20,000, and as his stories gained popularity, writing became his full-time profession.
Media reports state that his cumulative earnings from audio storytelling have since crossed the ₹1 crore mark, marking a significant turnaround from the financial struggles that had once forced him to leave medical school.
