Notable figures, including celebrities, religious leaders, and politicians, expressed a range of perspectives, with some conveying happiness about the significant event and others asserting that the ceremony had been politicized. Let’s delve into the viewpoints of key individuals connected to today’s elaborate ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his joy on the inauguration ceremony, stating on social media, “This grand Ram temple will become a witness to India’s progress, India’s rise. This grand Ram temple will become a witness to the emergence of a grand India, a developed India.”

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of RSS, remarked, “It is a matter of immense fortune that I have got the opportunity to be present there for Pran Pratishtha. It’s in a way a declaration to the entire world that India has stood on its own and will now move forward for prosperity and peace in the entire world.”

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, shared his anticipation at an event, “The wait of 500 years is about to end. Before the arrival of the Lord, there was a plan of PM that Ayodhya would be established as the most beautiful city in the world. The way the people have welcomed PM Modi today gives everyone a glimpse of the new Ayodhya of a new India.”

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, reflecting on the occasion, added his perspective, “The consecration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is an occasion for everyone to come together and celebrate life beyond differences of religion, caste and creed. This is also a time to acknowledge and appreciate the role played by the Honorable Supreme Court, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and all the stakeholders who worked together to bring this to fruition. Lord Rama is considered to be perfect in all human behavior. He is the ideal King. He is an inspiration to millions not just in India, but all over the world.”

While the event garnered numerous positive reactions, there were contrasting opinions on the inauguration.

Jairam Ramesh of the Indian National Congress, in an official statement, mentioned that Congress leaders would not attend the event, characterizing it as an “RSS/BJP event.”

Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar’s Deputy CM, expressed his concerns at a rally, stating, “People will go to a hospital and not a temple if they fall sick or get injured. My only concern is to stop the ongoing efforts to alter the fabric of this country.”

Shankaracharyas, widely accepted as the Heads of Mutts, also shared their views on the consecration ceremony, emphasizing the importance of adhering to religious scriptures.

Earlier this month, Nischalananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the shrine in Puri, said he would skip the ceremony because he was “conscious of the dignity of his position. It’s the responsibility of priests and sadhus to consecrate Lord Rama’s idol. Why are so many politicians expected to be present?,”

Various public figures, including actors Anupam Kher and the celebrated Ramayan characters on Television Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia, and Sunil Lahiri, expressed their joy for the inauguration ceremony.

In a statement, Kailash Satyarthi, a renowned activist, expressed his reactions on the inauguration by saying, “The world becomes free of violence and war – that is our responsibility…This is definitely a historic day…”

Sadhguru, the founder and head of Isha Foundation, took to social media and said, “In this Culture, the aspiration is not to go to heaven. The aspiration is to become Divine. This aspiration needs an iconic inspiration.”

Among those who attended the event was Gautam Adani, who, in a statement, emphasized the Ayodhya Mandir as a gateway to enlightenment and peace, binding communities with the timeless threads of Bharat’s spiritual and cultural harmony.

Overall, the ceremony evoked a range of responses, highlighting the diversity of perspectives on this significant occasion.
