Wanted in over 18 criminal cases across Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab, Anmol fled India using a fake passport and sought asylum in the US, which was rejected. Upon deportation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took him into custody for interrogation.

Authorities see this extradition as crucial for cracking down on organised crime networks operating across borders.

Anmol Bishnoi Deported to India

Anmol Bishnoi has been a key figure in India’s organised crime scene, linked to numerous violent crimes including the murder of political leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai and shootings near Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence.

Additionally, he is implicated in supplying arms and support to assassins involved in singer Sidhu Moosewala’s 2022 murder in Punjab.

On the run for years, he fled India via Nepal with forged travel documents and lived in the US under an assumed identity before being arrested for immigration violations. His capture marks a major breakthrough in India’s efforts to tackle cross-border crime syndicates.
