Police in Hisar, Haryana, have registered a case against a private company official for allegedly raping an unmarried woman employee repeatedly over a period of nearly three years at the company office, a crime that has stirred deep unease in the region. The accused was arrested in late June 2025, and the police recently submitted a detailed chargesheet, exceeding 1,900 pages, in court.
Authorities confirm that the next hearing is scheduled for September 10, 2025, as they continue to collect evidence, including mobile data from both the complainant and the accused. The survivor’s complaint has brought out harrowing details of coercion, blackmail, and threats faced over multiple years, exposing the darker realities of workplace safety and power abuses.
Allegations of Abuse and Coercion
According to police officials and the survivor’s account, the alleged abuse began in 2022 when her father introduced her to the accused, who held an influential position in a community organisation and promised to help her pursue education abroad. In early 2024, the survivor was called to Chandigarh on the pretext of an IELTS coaching course, where the accused allegedly spiked her drink and raped her at a hotel.
The incident was recorded, and she was subsequently threatened with fabricated charges and further humiliation if she protested or disclosed the abuse. The victim recounted being forced to sign blank and stamped papers and being coerced into sexual acts repeatedly over months, both in Chandigarh and later in Jaipur, where the accused arranged her accommodation and coaching.
He continued to threaten her safety, promising to make her a “star” and leveraging his social connections, but ultimately manipulated and intimidated her when she did not comply.

Even after returning home, the harassment continued through persistent calls and menacing messages. It was only after she confided in her family that a police case was registered, bringing the events to light and prompting an official investigation.

An official statement from Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan confirmed the registration of the FIR, the survivor’s medical examination, and ongoing efforts to support her legal rights.
