Asif Qureshi, cousin of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, was allegedly stabbed to death in a violent altercation over a parking dispute outside his home in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area on Thursday night around 10 pm. The incident reportedly began when Asif confronted two neighbours over a two-wheeler parked in front of his house gate.

A Violent Confrontation over Parking in Nizamuddin
According to Delhi Police and eyewitness accounts, the dispute was triggered when Asif allegedly asked the two youths to move their scooter that was blocking the main entrance of his house on Church Lane, Jangpura Bhogal Lane. Instead of complying, the neighbours purportedly verbally abused him and returned shortly thereafter, attacking Asif with a sharp pointed object described as an ice pick.
CCTV footage shows the accused holding Asif by his collar before stabbing him in the chest, while Asif’s wife, Sainaz Qureshi, desperately tried to intervene. Officials confirmed the murder weapon was recovered from the scene. The accused reportedly have prior disputes with Asif over the same parking issue, and one of them is allegedly known locally for erratic behaviour and substance abuse.
Background and Community Reactions
Asif Qureshi, aged 42, was a respected local poultry businessman and lived with his wife in the residential area of Nizamuddin, which has frequent disputes over limited parking spaces. His family, including Huma Qureshi’s father Saleem Qureshi, expressed shock and grief over the brutal killing, calling for strict punishment of the accused.
