In Aligarh district’s Barla town, Uttar Pradesh, 36-year-old Suresh Kumar was fatally shot by his wife Beena Devi’s lover, Manoj Kumar, on Thursday morning. Beena allegedly procured a country-made pistol and handed it to Manoj to kill her husband. Suresh, a security guard who had returned home four days earlier, was sitting outside his house when the shooting occurred.
After killing Suresh, Manoj fired at Suresh’s elder brother Vijay, who was injured by shrapnel. Manoj surrendered at the local police station immediately after the crime. Both Beena and Manoj have been arrested, and police are investigating the source of the weapon and the motive behind the murder.

The crime took place in the Kothi locality of Barla town, where Suresh Kumar was shot dead by Manoj Kumar, a 35-year-old grocery shop owner and Beena’s alleged lover. Police swiftly registered a murder case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation. SP (Rural) Amrit Jain confirmed the arrests and stated that the investigation is ongoing.
