Before the impact of the video shared by BSF constable, Tej Bahadur Singh complaining of poor food quality served to BSF soldiers reduced, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable took to social media seeking help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give the CRPF forces same facilities like Indian Armed Forces.
Constable Jeet Singh posted to Mount Abu, asked the Prime Minister to resolve the matter at the earliest.
In the video, Singh says despite the fact that CRPF does a commendable job in offering security to government and business establishments, and VIPs, as well as conducting poll duty, the CRPF faces more discrimination than the personnel employed by the Indian Army.
“Those with the armed forces avail of medical and canteen facilities, besides other welfare schemes, but nothing of the sort is provided to CRPF personnel. After retirement, we are not given ex-servicemen quota benefits that could help us bag good jobs,” Singh laments in the video. He adds, “We don’t get canteen facility. We don’t even get medical facilities… Our pension has stopped. We don’t even get our holidays in time. (And) our duty is always the maximum.”
He clarifies that he does not have any problems with the facilities provided to Indian Army, but he is more concerned about the “discrimination.”
He adds that government school teachers are also given better benefits, salaries, and holidays. He asks why the CRPF do not receive such benefits.
Singh urges the Prime Minister to put an end to such disparities and requests the public to make his video viral so that it reaches to the concerned authorities.
It has been less than a week since BSF Constable Tej Bahadur Singh posted a video describing the ordeal of the men guarding the border. He complained about the poor standard food that is being served.
Videos like these appearing on social media portray a grim picture of how the security personnel are being treated in the country.
The Logical Indian hopes that the government takes cognisance into the matter and provides a solution to the problems raised by the personnel.
