When Children Click Photographs, There Is A Lot More Than What Meets The Eye

Supported by

80 children from four bustling metropolitan cities, residing in pockets of the city that are often regarded as the ‘undesirable’ parts of the city, clicked these beautiful pictures to share their world with all of us.

The visual stories that the children tell through the photographs give an interesting glimpse into what makes their daily life beautiful in spite of the adversity that goes hand in hand in their life.

The photographs are an outcome of CRY, an NGO which works with children .This is an year long initiative named ‘View Finder’ to enhance the life skills of children using the medium of photography.

Not only did the children acquire skills related to visual story telling, the programme also enhanced their self confidence and a sense of self worth. To quote one of the participants ” I feel good about myself and my abilities…earlier I used to be called …a good for nothing…’ ”
