Paralympic champion Nitesh Kumar led the charge with three gold medals, while Paris Paralympics silver medallist Thulasimathi Murugesan and bronze medallist Manisha Ramadass also delivered outstanding performances. The Indian team’s 27-medal tally at the Asian Para-Badminton Championship 2025, held in Bangkok from 17–22 June, marks a new high for the country at this event. Nitesh Kumar, fresh from his Paris Paralympics gold, won three golds: in men’s singles SL3, mixed doubles SL3-SU5 with Thulasimathi Murugesan, and men’s doubles SL3-SL4 with Sukant Kadam. Manisha Ramadass added the fourth gold in women’s singles SU5.
India also dominated the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 event, sweeping all three medals, with Nitesh Kumar and Thulasimathi Murugesan taking gold, Ruthick Raghupathi and Manasi Joshi winning silver, and Chirag Baretha and Mandeep Kaur earning bronze.

India’s success extended to wheelchair events, with Prem Kumar Ale and Abu Hubaida winning bronze in men’s doubles WH1-WH2, and Alphia James and Pallavi Kuluvehalli taking bronze in women’s doubles WH1-WH2.
