According to an NDTV article, Azad was arrested on March 13th 2019, at Deoband in Saharanpurfor poll code violation when he was planning to take out a motorcycle rally, allegedly without permission, but had to be admitted in a hospital in Meerut after he fell ill.
Reportedly, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had paid him a visit at the hospital.
The exact video clip that went viral was a part of a video posted by the youtube channel ‘Patrika Noida’ on March 13th 2019.
Therefore, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad was not beaten up in Rajasthan.
The latest update on him says that he called for a Bharat Bandh on Sunday while addressing the anti-CAA protesters in Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, on Thursday evening.
Therefore, it can be confirmed that an old video of Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad in hospital has become viral with false claims of him getting beaten up in Rajasthan.
