While the media has been at the fore front in raising their voice for crime against women..it is utterly disheartening that the same media, a pillar of democracy chooses to behave the same way a street stalker does.
While TLI throws its hats off to Deepika Padukone for speaking up, we outrightly condemn TOI for this despicable act of theirs. We hope other celebrities also speak so that this media stalking can be put to an end.
This is not only a gross misuse of independence of media, it is a infringement into a woman’s privacy and an assault on her dignity.
As we stand by our women, we demand an thorough introspection by media and its guidelines and if needed regulation of media by the press council of India.
