Recently, Ministry of Urban Development launched the Swachh Bharat App to address civic issues in a fast-forward mode. To check the validity of this initiative, one of our volunteers from Mumbai S Ward (MH, India) added a ticket on the app and waited. Within few a couple of weeks, he got a call from the Solid Waste Department of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

The location is a remote slum in Powai area that lies in north-east of the city. A mountain of garbage had been lying there for many months but this ticket put all the concerned in alert mode. Assistant Engineer of Solid Waste Department (S Ward) Mr. Jogdand, came to rescue with his team and the locality was eventually cleaned on a Sunday morning. The officer was friendly and assured immediate action for upcoming tickets.

Slowly, but definitely, the working of the latent Municipal Corporation is transforming, as a result of dynamic leaders and initiatives.

The Logical Indian appeals the people to take part in such initiatives and make our leaders work and applaud for such dynamic officers who believe in change.
