On 28th June, Bhartiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha expelled one of its leaders, Sunita Singh Gaud from the party for posting insensitive and heinous comments against Muslim women on Facebook. She hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Ramkola.

“There is only one solution for them (Muslims). Hindu brothers should make a group of 10 and gang rape their (Muslims) mothers and sisters openly on the streets and then hang them in the middle of the bazaar for others to see,” Gaud’s comment in Hindi said.

She also went on to say that Muslim mothers and sisters should have their “honour looted” as there is “no other way” to “save India”. Her Facebook comment had triggered furious reactions from the Netizens.

After Gaud’s views went viral, a Twitter user posted a screenshot of her Facebook post. BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vijaya Rahatkar replied to the post, saying,  “Be assured, BJP Mahila Morcha will not tolerate any hateful comments whatsoever from any karyakarta.”

“The lady in question has been expelled even before you tweeted,” the tweet read.

Rahatkar shared a press statement on June 27, in which Chandraprabha Pandey, the District Chief of the BJP’s Mahila Morcha, announced Gaud’s sacking for “anti-party activities”. Gaud was expelled on June 27.

The press statement mentioned that Gaud had posted inappropriate content on social media repeatedly in the past. The Prime Minister and Chief Minister believe in “sabka saath, sabka vikas,” the press statement further said.
