Joe Whale, from Shrewsbury, had often got into trouble for doodling in class. But, his life took a new turn when his art teacher decided to share his doodles on Instagram.

Joe’s art teacher, Kerry Jones, had instantly recognised the 9-year-old’s talents and had widely shared his artworks on her Instagram account. Seeing her posts, so impressed was Number 4, a restaurant in Shrewsbury, that they decided to onboard Joe to decorate their dining room with his drawings.

“He used to doodle on the table’s whiteboard in class and get into trouble for doodling,” said Greg Whale, Joe’s father, according to a report by Metro. In order to nurture his talent and to encourage his creativity, Joe’s parents’ had enrolled him in an after-school art class – Bloom, which was run by Jones.

“I first met Joe several weeks ago, he was a bit frustrated at school because he couldn’t doodle as much as he wanted to and had been asked to stop,” said Jones. Mind-blown by Joe’s talent and recognizing his artwork as advanced, Jones’ had moved him to a class for older students. She had also given the boy his own wall to doodle in the art class. According to Jones, Joe’s work is very exact and does not need practising before moving from pencil to pen.

After agreeing to the restaurant’s offer, Joe’s dad drives him to the restaurant every day after school. At the restaurant, the little boy has an entire wall (nearly 8 feet wide) as his canvas!

“It makes me happy that I can express myself. All the creations just come from my head and they just pop out. And I can dream of them coming to life and me shaking hands with them and giving them hi-fives,” says Joe in a video posted by Metro.

Greg had posted Joe’s work on his LinkedIn account, which recieved a massive response. The little boy-wonder now has his own website and Instagram page that goes by the name of ‘The Doodle Boy.’
