The Logical Indian take
Love and romance is a separate issue from stealing. A person should not steal just to impress their girlfriends. Stealing is a serious criminal offence and is punishable by law. A person should not get so engulfed with the idea of romance and impressing their girlfriends that they end up in prison. There are more ways to express love to someone. Movies have trivialised the idea of romance and reduced it to the mere act of giving and receiving expensive gifts but that is not entirely true.
These students, who don’t know any better, might have thought that money was the only way an individual can be romantic. This idea needs to change. We hope the future generation is given a more realistic idea of love and romance.
