We lost 10 of our soldiers in Siachen Avalanche. The situation at the border is so difficult that hardship faced by the men defending the glacier can never be imagined by a normal person. Our soldiers survive at a temperature of -50 Degree Celsius, situated at 19,600 feet.

Lance Naik Hanumanthappa passed away at RR Hospital in Delhi at 11:45 a.m. He was rescued on Monday night after being buried under 25 feet of snow since the avalanche buried their camp on February 3.

The Logical Indian community pays condolences to Lance Naik Hanumanthappa. We salute him and other brave soldiers who laid their lives on enemy lines, and hope such tragedies never happen again. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the soldiers who laid their lives for us.
