Dear Ma’am and Sir,
Congratulations on being named as the CM candidates for Delhi. We are glad to see honest and clean figures fighting electoral battles in mainstream politics.
Ma’am, a lot has been said in the media regarding your joining the BJP. Sir, A lot has also been said about your resignation.
We feel that debating on these topics over and over again won’t yield us anything good and healthy. It reduces the process of democratic dialogue to a joke. The people of our country have had enough of mindless debates on TV which have been reduced to nothing but shouting matches.
But we believe in meaningful dialogue and discussions. With less than three weeks to go for the Delhi election, our focus should be on how each party proposes to make Delhi better. We want to know about each party’s development model for Delhi, like a blueprint to review and decide which side deserves our vote more.
With this in mind, The Logical Indian invites both of you for a one of its kind open discussion where we will only serve as the medium. All questions will be asked by the people, and all answers will be given to the people by you.
We have already sent the invitation letters to the official addresses of your parties. We hope both the future representatives of the people will accept the invitations and step out in the open to answer people’s questions. We don’t want a ruler, we want a co-worker. We want participatory democracy and not just representative democracy, and dialogue and discussion is the first step in that direction.
Let’s not just watch Obama Vs Romney kind of debates on TV. Let’s have similar debates in India and make it easier for our voters to decide whom to vote for, keeping all grudges and personal opinions aside.
Note to the reader – If you too share similar thoughts, kindly share this letter with your fellow voters and also forward the same to these party addresses:
