Bengaluru- Indias emerging star city
The tech hub of India, Bengaluru has always attracted many with its technological development, the ever growing IT industry, infrastructure, amiable locals and systematic efficient functioning. The city is host to software engineers world over, and is now emerging as the business capital of the country.
In studies conducted by ECA International, Bengaluru has been rated as the most liveable city in India, with an international rank of 171 out of the 450 cities surveyed, followed by Chennai and Mumbai. The study evaluated cities based on factors like climate, housing and utility facilities, health services, political tension and air quality to rate the quality of life in cities world over, thereby allowing global companies to allocate employees. Needless to mention, Bngaluru, by maintaining a decent score all over will now be attracting more employees, more work opportunity and tremendous capital.
Bangalore has also shown incredible international growth financially ranking fifth amongst cities receiving high venture capital, boasting of 2.6 billion VC investment in 2014, indicating the brilliance of its startup ecosystem. Experts attribute this success to Bengaluru’s ability to attract tech talent, to mobile apps and cloud lowering entry barriers, and to companies like Google and Yahoo, which are now going experimental.
Given the way things seem to be going, this growth spurt shows no signs of slowing down, promising the city and it’s workers bright opportunities.
