“Although we can’t walk with the palkhi, we love being a part of the festivities.The atmosphere is so lively and energetic and peoples’ faith is so strong- you can feel it. We usually sell bananas, but if we see some warkari who can’t afford it, we give it to them for free. That’s the least we can do to help them for this long journey they make.”
