India Needs Gender Sensitisation – Here’s Why

Supported by

We’re about to enter the 69th year of independence, and in many ways, we have a lot to rejoice about, to celebrate. Our brave freedom fighters fought shackles of bias that chained our country for many years, with the aim of creating a society of equals.

And although, 69 years later, we may not be ruled by any regime, we are still bound by beliefs and practices that restrict our society from experiencing freedom in its truest sense.

Our children may be born in an independent India, but how free can they really be if their minds are influenced by how Indian society treats its women and men? How free can we really be if our minds are influenced by the environment of gender insensitive behavior we grow up in?
