LPG- Liberalisation, Privatisation and Globalisation have brought a lot of good changes but their perils have never been discussed. The man delivering the speech in this video has a lot to talk about the changes and impact of LPG on culture and lack of respect.
He speaks about the apathy that is being shown towards farmers and tells the story of a farmer who went to the city with 2000 kg of pomegranate and returned with 3 rupees and 80 paise. The only reason he did that was because it would have cost him money to take back his produce to his village.
The problem with everyone of us is: We don’t know we are part of that problem, each one of us. And we ignore and say “What can I do?”
Firstly, we need to realize that we have lost our touch with nature and food, and our disconnect has given them (corporate, middlemen) opportunity to exploit us. Cancer, is on the rise, new forms of diseases are coming up, our food system is spoiled and health care has turned into sick care which keeps us sick to keep profits coming.
But there is hope. If we wake up and analyse our lifestyles: our food, our clothes, the environment we live in and our attitude towards everything and change it, we can make a big difference in our entire lives and ecosystems.
