40 Kilometers from Jaipur there is Acharol village where live a 75 year-old-lady Ratani Devi and her young disabled son Tilak Her husband is 80 years old so he can’t work to earn for the family.

Their vision has faded, shedding tears on their situation.

It has been one and half years living in the dark as the electricity supply has been cut off because they could not pay the bill. They used to get 1750 Rs. as old age pension to survive but it has been blocked for the last four months.

They ask the postman every day if they have got the pension, but he responds the same way every time- that he did not receive anything for them.

Kheduram, her husband is the head of the family. He wakes up early at 5 in the morning and cooks food for all. During night they can’t see properly so they cook dinner in the day time itself. Old age and sickness have forced him to stay at home.

Her son Tilak can’t help them anyway, he wants to see them before his eyes all the time so he cries loudly if they go anywhere out of his sight.

After the story got published on social media, the family is already being helped.
