Tired of mud covered and water logged streets Praveen Koshiyari took the matter into his own hands. In a unique way of protest he started planding rice saplings (paddy) on one of the mud filled street of Balvakot (Dharchula).

That represents two main issues:

  1. As govt pooling farm lands for development purpose, where do farmers farm?
  2. And much larger issue is Govt spends hell lot of money on infrastructure specially for the roads still the condition is so pathetic it looks more like a paddy field in rainy days.

We appreciate the creative way of spreading awareness by this farmer, and we hope government will listen to him and every citizen suffering from bad road conditions and fix the issues.
