Amitabh Bachchan was seen inside the Mumbai local train singing. It was a surprise for the daily commuters and Saurabh Nimbkar, whom he accompanied. It was without the knowledge of the young social worker Saurabh who recently appeared on a show “Aaj ki Raat Zindagi” hosted by Amitabh Bachchan himself.

Amitabh Bachchan said that he was not accompanying him to create a sensation in media or to promote his show, but to support Saurabh and to show him that he was not alone. Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog that he would continue to support him even after the young man’s departure from the show.

The actor sang the song “Rang Barse” from the famous Hindi flick for the commuters.

Doing charity is different and to engross oneself completely into it becomes a matter of inspiration. Saurabh Nimbkar is such a source of inspiration. He collects donations in the local train to help cancer patients. Saurabh felt the patient’s problem after staying with her mother who was undergoing a treatment for cancer at King Edward Memorial Hospital. In order to light up the face of the patients he started playing guitar. Being a fun person he enjoyed singing in the train with his friends as he travelled from Dadar to Dombivali. Saurabh thought of using the talent in the local trains to collect donations for cancer patients as it is full of people who are stressed in their job and music would give them a relaxation for few minutes. In September 2014, Saurabh lost his mother and the thought of singing in the train stayed and grew further. Two NGO’s rejected him as his plan did not fit into the norms. At last he found an NGO in Thane who supported him and he gave a kick start to his philanthropic work.

Hope that people would walk into Saurabh shoes and do the great philanthropic work.

The Logical Indian praises the generous efforts of Saurabh.
