17-Nov-2015, I was just resuming my ride to Office after waiting for almost a minute at the Jayanagar 5th Block junction signal. As I was throttling my bike’s accelerator and moving ahead, my eyes fell on a tricolor flag, which was lying on the road.
Due to the speed with which I was traveling, I had well crossed the spot where I saw the flag. But my heart kept on bothering me till I took a turn after traveling almost for 500 meters and rode towards the spot again, where I saw the flag.
I parked my bike aside and as I reached out to the flag lying on the road, I could see that it was our National Flag and it was already soiled by the rain water and by the vehicles trampling over it. I immediately secured the flag from the road. And upon reaching home in the evening, I washed it with my hands.
This particular act of mine gave me a sense of responsibility and I felt I have done the right thing.
