My Story: The Traffic Cop Refused To Even Take A Single Penny As His Reward

Supported by

A miracle happened in Chennai.

Incident date: Saturday (5/21/2016)

My name is Prem Kishan and I work in an MNC company. One of my colleagues lost her laptop bag which had a Lenovo Laptop, Iphone 6, Purse with 2000 rs cash, debit and credit cards (Total cost value: More than 1 lakh). This bag fell down somewhere while she was commuting to the office in her scooter (Activa), she usually keeps the bag in foot space which is in front.

1st Shock : She realized that she had lost the bag only after reaching to office premises. She called me asking for help and we went all the way to search for the bag. We later tried calling her phone and a traffic cop picked it up.

2nd shock: Traffic cop said he will deliver the bag to the respective address as there was an identity card inside the bag with the address mentioned on it. Later we decided to collect the bag from cop directly in the place where he found the bag.
We met the cop in the specified traffic signal and collected the bag.

3rd Shock: Traffic cop refused to even take a single penny as his reward and instead he said, ” He Just did his job”. I was just surprised by the act he did. There are still lots of good cops like them. Kudos to Chennai City Traffic Police.
I would like to mention their names as they at least get some reward from their respective offices for their humble act:
1) A Thameem.
2) SI Ambethkar.
3) Tamil Vanan
