My Story: “I Do Not Charge Money For Locks Which Are Bought For Temples Or Mosques.” He Smiled And Said

“This incident happened a few hours ago. I was in the market of Baroda to buy a lock. My brother-in-law was also with me and suggested that I take extra locks for my mother too.

The shopkeeper said that he would not charge any money if the lock was for “Mataji”.

We were amazed and asked him why he didn’t want to charge us. He smiled and said, “I do not charge money for locks which are bought for temples or mosques. Today morning, some people from a nearby temple took 12 locks, and I did not take a penny for it.”

Adjacent to Arif Bhai’s shop, the shopkeeper there told us that Arif Bhai does not take money for the locks which are to be used in mosque or temple.

I introduced Arif Bhai to my brother-in-law and said, “My brother-in-law is addressing my mother as his mother-in-law. She lives near his house, and he wants to buy a lock for her.”

Arif Bhai and I had a candid conversation. He said, “God is one, and we are all his followers. People who fight in the name of religion have spread a lot of hatred, but we should all live together in harmony.”

Long live humanity! Long live India!”
