My Story: I Stopped A Shopkeeper From Selling Tobacco To A Little Girl

Supported by

Yesterday, I was crossing a street in Delhi and noticed a pan shop where an eight or nine-year-old girl (in shabby clothes) was buying some tobacco product.

Without wasting time, I clicked the picture to stop the shopkeeper. He got scared and informed me that she was buying for herself. I chased the girl, took her to the shop and she told me that she eats it, without any hesitation.
I called the police officer standing in that street, and as expected, he proposed to settle the matter. In return, I asked him, what would he do if his own daughter did so? He realised the situation and warned the shopkeeper.
I politely asked the girl to return and showed her cancer patients on the internet. I also told her how I lost my papa because of these bad habits which led him to cancer. She realised and returned the packet. I thanked her and gave her a chocolate with a smile.
I request everyone in my connections to STOP IGNORING this bad habit (at least in younger ones). It’s not about hurting someone but to save someone.
Start looking and Keep acting. It will cost you nothing but may save a few lives.
