“No Grocery Stores, No Mobiles & I Walk 12 Kms Down The Mountain To Teach”

Supported by

Being a teacher is a special HONOUR.

In 2016, I was accepted to teach students living high in the mountains of Morocco. It was a dream come true.

Here, there are no grocery stores, no mobiles and no wifi. No roads. (Not counting roads of animals!). There is no transportation at weekends either so I walk over 12 km’s to the bottom of the mountain.

But I see it all as an adventure.

I’m passionate about my students. And I’m a soft-hearted teacher too!

One of my memorable student is 10 years old, has psychological and family issues leading him to be UNIQUE.

Yet he is such a GENIUS in all aspects. He knows the next topic before I explain and at break, if he’s not playing with his pals, he’s sitting watching funny videos with me. He says I’m his best friend.

And when I see the smiles of the students I am teaching…it’s such a PERFECT experience!
