Delhi Traffic Cops Dragged 20 Metres in Shocking Hit-and-Run

Two Delhi traffic cops were dragged for 20 metres by a hit-and-run driver after stopping a car that jumped a red light.

On November 3, 2024, at around 7:45 PM, two Delhi traffic policemen were hit and dragged for 20 metres by a car at the Ber Sarai traffic light. The driver fled the scene after initially complying with a stop signal. Police have registered a case for attempted murder and identified the vehicle owner, Jai Bhagwan, who will be arrested soon. The injured officers are stable after treatment at Safdarjung Hospital.

Instead, the driver accelerated, dragging both officers along the bonnet before fleeing. Videos of the incident have gone viral, showing the dramatic scene as bystanders shouted for help. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the officers were reported as minor, but police emphasized the driver’s intent to harm them.
