Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden have officially qualified for the 2024 ATP Finals in men’s doubles, following the elimination of Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow at the Rolex Paris Masters. This marks Bopanna’s fourth appearance at the prestigious event, set to take place from November 10-17 in Turin. The duo’s successful season includes titles at the Australian Open and Miami Open, as well as a strong showing in other tournaments. Fans are eager to see if they can secure Bopanna’s first ATP Finals title.

Bopanna and Ebden Secure Their Spot

The Indo-Aussie pair clinched their place in the ATP Finals after a thrilling semi-final performance at the Paris Masters. Their qualification was confirmed when Lammons and Withrow were knocked out, finalising the lineup for Turin. Bopanna expressed his excitement, stating, “Qualifying for the ATP Finals is a dream come true for us,” while Ebden highlighted their strong partnership throughout the season. The tournament will feature only the top eight doubles teams globally, including notable pairs like Wesley Koolhof/Nikola Mektic and Kevin Krawietz/Tim Puetz.

A Season of Achievements

This year has been remarkable for Bopanna and Ebden, who began their season with a historic win at the Australian Open, making Bopanna the oldest male player to achieve world No 1 status at 43 years and 331 days. They later added a Miami Open title to their accolades and reached finals in Adelaide and semi-finals at Roland Garros. This marks their second consecutive year qualifying for the ATP Finals; last year, they reached the semi-finals before falling to Granollers and Zeballos. For Bopanna, this event holds special significance as he aims for his maiden ATP Finals title, having previously finished as a finalist in 2012 and 2015.
