A hotel employee in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati has won widespread admiration after returning a handbag containing around 300 grams of gold jewellery worth nearly ₹45 lakh to its rightful owner.
The jewellery belonged to Bharath, a Bengaluru resident, who accidentally left the bag behind at Hotel Garudadri after attending a wedding in Tirumala. Instead of keeping the valuables, cashier Shashi immediately secured them and handed them over to the police, who later reunited the jewellery with its owner.
Tirupati Superintendent of Police (SP) L. Subbarayudu felicitated Shashi for her honesty, with the incident earning praise online as a heartening reminder that integrity and compassion continue to thrive in everyday life.
