The roots of this tragedy extend back to the family’s ancestral home in Bihar, where the illicit relationship between Parvez and Shabana who is married to Parvez’s elder brother, Wasim allegedly began. The tension escalated significantly when Shabana’s father, Firoz Alam, traveled from Bihar to Surat on March 9, specifically to assist in silencing Hamida.
According to police, the trio waited for Wasim to leave for his workplace before carrying out the murder. Surveillance footage later proved instrumental, capturing a man identified as Firoz Alam carrying the heavy gunny bag on his shoulder in broad daylight, walking toward the disposal site just 500 meters away.
Following the act, Firoz attempted to flee back to Bihar by train, but a swift coordination between the Surat Police and the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) led to his apprehension at the Patna Railway Station as he disembarked.
