Contrary to the prevailing Shradhh rituals that traditionally discourage Hindus from purchasing new electronics and appliances, the passion for cricket has led to a significant surge in TV sales across the country.

Online retailers have also capitalized on the fervor by hosting festive sales, offering attractive bank discounts and a myriad of enticing deals to consumers, further fueling the uptick in sales.
Gireesan Gopi, Business Head of Home Entertainment at LG India, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “With the Indian team emerging as a top contender, the excitement knows no bounds as we head into the India-Pakistan clash on Saturday.” Notably, LG India has experienced a notable increase in sales of their 55-inch and larger TV models, surging by 2 to 2.5 times compared to the corresponding Shradhh period last year.
Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director of Sony India, echoed a similar sentiment, highlighting the growing popularity of larger screen models, specifically 75-inch and 85-inch screens, coinciding with the fervour of the Cricket World Cup
