Sushma Swaraj Promises To Help Pakistani Girl Who Wants To Become A Doctor In India

A Pakistani Hindu girl Mashal, who had migrated to Jaipur from Pakistan has been struggling to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor as she is not allowed to take up the entrance exam due to her foreign nationality. Migration in itself is a tedious process and Mashal took the plunge to migrate to India after given the welcome hand by the incumbent government to Hindu migrants from across borders. Despite the setback of not being able to attend her entrance exams due to nationality issues, she has found hopes in none other than our External Affairs minister Mrs Sushma Swaraj who won people’s hearts by tweeting a promise to support Mashal and take up her case at the earliest to ensure a speedy admission.
Immigration from Pakistan
More than 1200 people from Pakistan have reportedly immigrated to India while a little more than thousands have been granted citizenship. The immigrants are housed in camps in Delhi, many waiting citizenship by the Indian government. Most of the immigrants from Pakistan are Hindus. They come in the hope to live a free life where they could pursue their dreams.
